Randy W. Cook, MPH, FACMPE
Randy Cook, the founder and CEO of AmpliPHY Physician Services, has over 30 years of healthcare experience across multiple healthcare sectors and is recognized nationally as a leader in the healthcare "transformation movement." Using a grounded sense of patient care, how people work together, and distinguishing what works from what doesn't, Randy has come to believe that only physicians can lead the transformation of the American healthcare system. The key element for success is physician leadership partnered with management know-how. At UniPhy, Meritus and State Volunteer Mutual Insurance Company, Randy worked directly with physician practices of all types to make a difference in the lives of physicians, staff and most importantly patients! Additional experience includes operational leadership for John Deere Health Care and Columbia/HCA. Randy has focused his experience and applied his entrepreneurial skills to improve the healthcare system by founding AmpliPHY Physician Services.
Randy is active in the community, serving as a board chair of the Housing Coalition of South Central Tennessee and enjoys spending time on his eco-friendly farm in Columbia, TN. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Religion from Carson-Newman College. Randy earned a master's degree in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Tennessee. Randy is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE), a Certified Medical Practice Executive and the author of numerous professional articles regarding the future of healthcare and negotiation skills for the healthcare professional.
Chief Operations Officer
As Chief Operations Officer, Richard leads the company in all aspects of business operations. His responsibilities include the development of information systems, operational work-flows, policies and procedures as well as the delivery of these solutions into client organizations.
Prior to joining AmpliPHY, Richard worked on the business office and revenue cycle side of healthcare operations. As Founder and President of Insight Healthcare Financials, Inc., Richard provided cash-flow solutions for both commercial and healthcare businesses.
Personally, Richard earned his degree at Auburn University and also attended Vanderbilt University. He is actively involved as a community volunteer through many service projects and civic organizations in the Middle Tennessee area. He has served as President of the Nashville Area Junior Chamber of Commerce, is a graduate of Leadership Nashville, and served as the Board President of Progress, Inc., a 501-C3 dedicated to serving adults with developmental disabilities. Richard was selected as one of The Tennessean's inaugural "Top 40 under 40."
